15 days to a phenomenal vocabulary - how to build a super vacabulary - Learn hundreds of words in 15 days
The best way to learn vocabulary is to expose yourself to new ideas. Reading novels, books, magazines, newspapers can significantly increase your vocabulary. Reading in themes and creating connections among word is essential. For example, If you are reading about doctors, then make connections among various types of doctors, and also find related words of words you read. Other than this, finding the origins of words, and understanding their etymology will increase your vocabulary many times. As from some roots and affixes, you can form many words.
Here are some terms we will use while studying words:
a) Etymology: the investigation of the source of words.
b) Root word: A fundamental word to which attaches are included is known as a root word. It is also called stem.
c) Affixes: An affix is added to the base word to change its meaning. The prefix is an affix attached to the front of the root. The suffix is an append added to the back of the root.
