Acquire specific and work oriented knowledge - Habits of success series
“I'm not an expert,
but I want to be.”
Ben Nicholson
Successful people acquire work oriented and highly
specialized knowledge, and they rarely if ever acquire generalist knowledge.
They are expert in one specific discipline. They read, try, and learn a lot in
their specific field of work. You should read every book, watch every video,
and study every expert in your work field (or the field in which you want to be
an expert).Highly successful people e.g. Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, Bill Gates
and Mark Cuban read all the books about their work field while still in
college. So you should all books about your work-field, because any book you
left may be the book you need most.
