Making your own decisions: Be empowered and fully fulfilled - Secret 2.0, Law Of Attraction
After taking birth,
human baby remains dependent on his parents for food, shelter, and decision
making for at least 10-12 years and in this period he rapidly grows his mental and physical capabilities. And
in following few years become mature. But this childhood habit of depending on
parents for food, shelter, and decision
making does not go automatically for most people even in adulthood. Most people continues to depend on others for
decision making even in their 40s. We all have a very similar brain and if we use it properly, we all can make best
decisions for our families and ourselves. No one else knows your situation, desires,
resources, capabilities, interests, and passion better than you do. SO you must
not take decisions based on people’s
knowledge, opinions, perspectives, and
mindsets. And as you will start taking your own decisions, you will gradually
become better in taking right decisions.
Your purpose, goals,
and emotions help you in the decision-making
process. To chose between two options, just ask which option will take me
nearer to my goals and is easier to do right now.
If you remain busy
whole day and still not moving closer to your goals and dream life, you must
change your prioritization and elimination system. The first step in making is saying ‘No’ or ignore things and people
that are:
Ø Not taking you closer to your goals.
(Unimportant tasks and people)
Ø Highly stressful and anxiety-generating.
Ø Time wasting activities except for necessary tasks like eating, drinking, sleeping etc.
Ø Ineffective, inefficient, and time wasting.
(Tv, newspaper, trying
to correct past mistakes or making up
for losses instead of focusing on highly productive work)
Successful people are extremely conscious of their time and productivity. They
consistently improve their effectiveness
and efficiency. They make their priorities clear to their employees and
allocate their time according to these priorities. If you are having very busy
life or not getting time to do important things, then most probably problem
lies in prioritization and execution. You can do better prioritization by
categorizing things and tasks into following categories:
|
|
Important
|
Unimportant
|
|
Urgent
|
Highest
priority
|
No
Priority (May do if time left)
|
|
Not urgent
|
Second
highest priority
|
Never
to be done
