Acronyms
An acronym is a short
word used for a group of words. The acronym
is created by combining the first one or
two letters of all the words into a short word. This short word is not only
easy to remember but also provides a hint
to recall all words represented by it. For example,
ASAP is an acronym of “As Soon As
Possible”. The acronym is simply
abbreviated form of a group of words.
Some useful acronyms are listed below:
LOL – Laughing Out
Loud
NATO – North Atlantic Treaty Organization
OSHA - Occupational Safety and Health Administration
UNESCO – United Nations Educational, Scientific, and
Cultural Organization
So to remember a list of words, you can create an acronym
representing all words in the list.
