 They value productivity and consistently think about ways to increase it. They ask questions like “Is there a better way of doing this thing?” Or “How can I do a particular thing in less time?”. Japanese auto makers have used this approach with a lot of success. They consistently seek slight improvements in the car making process and car parts. In the long run, these slight changes hugely improves the production costs and performance of their cars.
